National Elite Development Program

Queensland Canoeing supports the Australian Canoeing’s (AC) National Elite Development Program (NEDP) initiative ‘Pathway Program Accreditation’ that engages and encourages the participation of clubs, coaches and athletes in the development of pre-elite and elite athletes in Queensland.

PATHWAY PROGRAM ACCREDITATION – OVERVIEW

Australian Canoeing (AC) is committed to supporting the development of future Champions, assisting athletes and coaches to reach their full potential, and enabling clubs to provide high quality daily training environments for National Team athletes and future prospects.

As such, AC will be implementing Pathway Program Accreditation for training centres offering elite development programs for athletes in the Olympic disciplines of Canoe Slalom, Canoe Sprint and Paracanoe.

The Pathway Program Accreditation aims to recognise and reward training centres actively contributing to the AC High Performance Pathway.

PATHWAY PROGRAM ACCREDITATION

Eligible training centres will be recognised as Gold, Silver or Bronze Pathway Programs, primarily based upon performance and participation in National events and initiatives, as well as representation on National Teams and Squads (see Eligibility Criteria below for more detail):
