Brisbane River Safety Forum

Brisbane City Council (BBC) has recently revived the Brisbane River Safety Forum ensuring a continuing focus on safety of all users on the Brisbane River.

Attendees to the recent forum included BCC (including the Deputy Mayor, Cr Adrian Schrinner Chair of Public and Active Transport Committee), Maritime Safety Qld, TranDev Brisbane Ferries, Qld Water Police, and State Sporting Organisation’s (including Rowing Qld, Qld Canoeing, etc). Forums will be conducted every 6 months.

Queensland Canoeing clubs and members are encouraged to raise any issues relating to usage, safety, or other concerns on the Brisbane River direct with Qld Canoeing at qld@canoe.org.au.
