Whatever your skill levels, come along and be taught by Denise Cooper, one of Australia’s best marathon competitors.
All QC/AC members are invited to attend. This camp is suitable for K1 and TK1s.
The cost to attend is $20 (please bring cash on the day) with lunch provided. Meet behind the Scouts Hall, Simpson’s Playground, 225 Graceville Avenue, Graceville (home of Brisbane Canoeing).
You must register to assist us with catering and management of the day. Register here by the 15 February.
Please bring your (charged) heart rate monitor and GPS.
Please don’t train on the morning of the camp and only have a light training on Saturday.
8.00am – Introduction of coaches and run through daily activities.
8.45am – 10.30am- Time Trial and discussion on paddling percentages.
10.30am – 11am – Morning tea (please bring your own)
11.00am- 12.30pm – Discussion, race plans portages and technique.
12.30pm -1.15pm – Lunch (provided)
1.15 pm – 3.00pm – Training on water (applying what we have learnt during the morning)
3.00pm – 3.30pm- Overview of days training.
