2016 Qld Canoe State Sprint Championships

A very successful two days at Coomera for the 2016 Queensland Canoe Sprint Championships over week-end 30-31 January.

Congratulations to the 100 competitors and 40 volunteers for their contribution in the past few days at the Qld State Sprints.

A special thanks to the Qld Canoe Sprints Committee and especially to Cath Parker, Event Coordinator for her brilliant organisation, enthuisiasm and energy.

On behalf of Qld Canoeing and the Qld Canoe Sprints Committee we would also like to acknowledge the support of the following organisations :-

  • Queensland Dept. Of  National Parks, Sport and Racing
  • Queensland Academy of Sport
  • Queensland Outdoor Recreation Federation
  • Volunteers from Brisbane Canoe Club, Varsity Lakes Paddlers Club, Currumbin Creek Paddlers Club, Wynnum Redlands Canoe Club, and Sunshine Coast for the many hours volunteering before and during the State Sprints.
