Results - Yarra Slalom Series 1 - Warrandyte

Results - See bottom of page for hotlink to results

The Victorian Slalom Community were greeted with perfect weather for the first Yarra Series of 2013 at Warrandyte yesterday.

Organised by Melbourne Canoe Club (MCC)  the event ran very smoothly.  Warwick Draper, Chair, MCC and the Race Organiser commented "It was the quickest course construction I can remember with all gates and ropes up in about 45 minutes on Saturday.  The Event on Sunday was a huge success and while water levels were not ideal, I think we managed to pull off a course suitable for all levels.  We had a fantastic turnout, perhaps the largest Yarra Series Race for a number of years.  It was particularly encouraging to see so many paddlers new to slalom tackling the course."

A huge thank you must go to the many volunteers, new and experienced who helped out.  Without your assistance the Event would not have run smoothly - we hope you enjoyed your day.  Special thanks also to Ivanhoe Grammar for providing the BBQ.

We look forward to seeing everyone again at Finns Reserve.  Set up at 1pm on Saturday 18 May with the Event on Sunday 19 May.
